SUEP DOMESTICATED DREAM

Having seen the name SUEP scattered across a number of excellent line ups as of late, we were thrilled stumble across the London-based outfit's debut single in our frankly overwhelming inbox of death. Admittedly, our expectations were high for the Porridge Radio-affiliated group (which consists of SuepLord, Brian Wastefield, T-Mr.9, GN & Freakin' Deacon) and the facetiously-titled 'Domesticated Dream' doesn't disappoint. Embracing some of the cheesier elements of disco and the 80s, a familiar Yamaha-generated drum beat provides the back bone of the whimsical track. Managing to make light of what feels like a constant struggle, SuepLord explains: “It’s about not having enough money or time to acquire stuff that you want because of capitalism, and about wanting someone to share your life with in a cosy and settled way.” Watch the brilliantly kitsch self-directed video here now and keep an eye out for from SUEP. -Holly Mullineaux
